Those of you who have been following the blog for a while know of my fondness of make-ahead frozen meals. You’ve also probably seen my last “Month of Frozen Meals” post.
My most recent foray into frozen meals was mostly vegetarian. The husband requested we try cutting down on eating meats, so I willingly complied. I also cut most of the recipes in half this go-around. Seeing as we had tons of left-overs last time – more than we could even consume – I knew that would be a great way to cut costs.
For this shopping trip, I didn’t have as much of a stockpile of pantry items to choose from, making the cost was a bit higher than last time. But, it was still around $200 which I was pretty pleased with (we ended up with plenty of left-overs and then some).

Hi, these look so awesome. I am not this creative in the kitchen. This is perfect! Thank you so much for posting this. Will you be creating more meals?

I’m glad it’s helpful! I’m hoping to! Right now I’m trying to loose this baby weight, so I’m doing the Atkins diet. That makes the frozen meals a little difficult. But I have had several people ask, so keep an eye out!

You show canned chicken breast in these photos. Is that just for the photo? Did you use fresh chicken breast instead? That is what I am thinking.
Sam says
I actually used canned for a lot of the recipes! I’ve found that canned is MUCH easier for preparation and cooking. Plus, once everything is cooked you can’t really tell.

It seems to be working for me … Do you have popups blocked?
