I know just the other day I was talking about how HOT is has been here … well … I spoke too soon! Lately, it’s been so chilly that we’ve actually had the fireplace going a few times. With this beautiful weather emerging, it really has me in the Fall mood – and I’m super excited to share my Fall decor with you.
This year I wanted something a little different than the average “pumpkins everywhere” decorations. Don’t get me wrong – I love pumpkins … and they’ll always have a place in my Fall decorations – but I needed to switch it up. That’s when I decided to use apples. Plus, if you decorate with real apples you can use them to make tasty apple treats when you’re done! (Can you tell I live with boys that are always hungry?)
So, I did opt to use real apples because they’re easy to find and affordable. But, I’m also going to be switching up my decor later in the season to reflect a more “Thanksgiving” point of view. If you think you’ll be keeping the apples for a long time, you can purchase fake ones at the dollar store for … a dollar.
Lately, I’ve been really into simple decor with a clean but rustic feel. I think this mantel perfectly reflects that.
Keep an eye out for my Apple Orchard chalkboard that I’ll be sharing later in the week!
