I have finally {mostly} finished getting our Christmas decorations put up. This is my favorite time of the year, and even-though we haven’t had our White Christmas yet, with the decorations out, it feels perfect! There are many decorations that we put out as a tradition year after year. Maybe that’s not really the blogger way, but I love all of our family decorations. Here’s a tour of our home…our very first Christmas here!
You might recognize some of these credenza decor elements from my Fall decor post.
This is the first room in our home, and you can see it from the road. I haven’t finished fluffing and decorating the tree yet, but since this is our “formal” living room, I want to make this tree really special. It’ll get there!
I’m not a huge fan of bathroom holiday decor. I’m not sure why, but there’s a part of me that gets the heeby jeebies when I think about it. But, I had a few extra mini ornaments from the tree in little man’s room and decided to put them in a small vase just to spruce the half bathroom up a little. I actually really like it, and it puts me in the holiday spirit. :-)
This is our traditional family ornament Christmas tree. Each year throughout my childhood, my mom would let me choose one new ornament to put on the tree. We have started that same tradition with our family, and I love unpacking all of the ornaments every year. Our family tree holds so many memories…it’s one of my favorite family traditions.
I am so excited that we actually have a mantel this year! It’s WAY better than decorating the kitchen peninsula!
Even the coffee bar got into the holiday spirit.
And after all that decorating, my favorite thing to do is sit down next to my Balsam & Cedar candle with some peppermint coffee and a good book!
Ohhh, your decor is just wonderful! I love getting a little look inside of everyones home this time of the year to see how they celebrate and decorate! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
