The tour was quite crazy the day I was there, so, unfortunately, I missed some of the spaces in each home. In this home I didn’t get to tour the basement, but doesn’t it look amazing?! You’ll find below a floor plan of the home. I’ll outline what each photo is throughout the tour, but I know, personally, floor plans help me “figure out” a house.

STUDY: This space can be seen from the front door, but has the ability to be closed off for privacy. I loved the dark board and batten treatment around the room with the metallic wallpaper accent toward the ceiling. There was a beautiful mixture of texture, metals, and woods throughout the room creating a cozy space. THE HIGHLIGHT? The pocket closet door was made to blend in with the board and batten treatment. I love that there’s storage without it being obvious.

BUTLER’S PANTRY: Walking through the study, you’ll find a butler’s pantry leading into the kitchen. The walk-in pantry and “mom’s office” is also found in this hallway behind the kitchen. I’ve always wanted a butler’s pantry, and this one is really beautiful with the dark cabinetry, and marble counter and back-splash. THE HIGHLIGHT? Other than the amazing storage you get with a butler’s pantry my favorite “moment” in here is the back-splash. I mean … come on. Gorgeous!

KITCHEN: This gourmet kitchen with custom range-hood was a show-stopper for sure. The mix of cabinetry and metallics is gorgeous. I love the simplistic clean look of the space and the mixture of modern touches and traditional elements. (You can see a snippet of the butler’s pantry to the right of this photo). THE HIGHLIGHT? Those pendant lights caught my eye right away!

KITCHEN: Here’s another kitchen shot, but I had to show off this refrigerator. Generally I’m not a fan of appliances with cabinet panels on them, but this fridge had me thinking twice. I like that the fridge area is dark to match the island while being flanked with white cabinets on either side. I also appreciate how they added decorative sconces and extra panels so it didn’t just look like a refrigerator – it really looks like a built-in furniture piece.

BUTLER’S PANTRY HALL: This is part of the hallway behind the kitchen (next to the pantry and mom’s office). I just had to share this fun artwork. Handwritten recipes were framed to create a gallery wall. I love the idea of having recipes written by different women in the family – for a more personal touch!

FAMILY ROOM: This space was hard to photograph – especially because of the amount of people. But, it’s right off the kitchen/nook area and nice and bright. THE HIGHLIGHT? These feather photos caught my eye right away and I love them so much! You might even see a DIY version coming up on the blog soon!

LAUNDRY: This space was a bit unexpected for me with the pop of green, but the room can really handle it! THE HIGHLIGHT? I can’t get over all of the organization and storage in here … but that little basket with the laundry symbols is my favorite!

MUD ROOM: This beautiful entry area wouldn’t stay so organized for so long in my home, but I’d like to give it a shot! :-) These built-ins provide seating and storage which is always a plus. THE HIGHLIGHT? I am obsessed with the grey paint, chrome hooks, and metal baskets!

LOFT: One of my favorite spaces in this home, I love the layout of this loft. It’s small, but has tons of storage and seating space. THE HIGHLIGHT? All the light coming from those windows is insane!

LOFT: Here’s another shot of the loft space. THE HIGHLIGHT? The two desk areas make great homework stations for older kids.

BEDROOM SUITE: I love how adorable this nautical room is. There were lots of great touches and accent pieces from West Elm throughout the space. THE HIGHLIGHT? This striped ceiling and that gorgeous light fixture. I’ll take two please!

BEDROOM SUITE: This room is definitely my taste! In fact, I almost bought this bed set for my oldest son when I was redoing his room! THE HIGHLIGHT? The perfect mixture of wood accents and bright colors.

PLAYROOM: Ok people. This is it … my favorite area in the house. Nestled between the walk-in closets of the two rooms I just showed you is this quaint little playroom. They had it set up as a sleepover room with a loft bed, seating, and a TV watching area. My little guy did not want to leave – and who could blame him? THE HIGHLIGHT? The whole room! I’m still trying to figure out how to get one of these in my house!

MASTER SUITE: The master suite was nicely divided. This beautiful seating area is separated from the bedroom by a few stairs, which I find nice. THE HIGHLIGHT? This space is private to the master suite, but still separate from the bedroom so there are lots of options functionality-wise.

MASTER SUITE: This is my husband’s favorite part of the room! In the seating area of the master suite there’s this sweet coffee/beverage bar area. THE HIGHLIGHT? Not having to go downstairs for coffee when you have a beautiful space to hang out in!

GARAGE: I had to share this photo of the garage with you guys. I am really loving the dark door in contrast to the lighter house and trim. THE HIGHLIGHT? That modern light fixture!
I hoped you guys enjoyed this first installment of Home-a-Rama 2014! What was your favorite space or decorative element?
