GREAT ROOM: Throughout this home you’ll see the beautiful contrast between comfort, traditional elements, and contemporary design. I think this family room perfectly sums up the home. How incredible are those ceiling beams and that fireplace wall?

KITCHEN: Personally, I could do without this back-splash … but those cabinets had me at hello. They have a great traditional style but are updated by the color and choice of pulls.

DINING ROOM: One of the things I love about contemporary homes is how much they focus on light. This dining space really brings light in and keeps the focus on the outdoors by staying very minimalist with the design.

LAUNDRY ROOM: The doors to the laundry room are a modern twist on the barn doors that are so popular right now. Don’t get me wrong, I love barn doors (and would love to have some in my home) but this is definitely a refreshing take on that trend!

LAUNDRY ROOM: How fun is this colorful laundry and craft room. Again, the builders have brought in a ton of natural light, and added a punch of fun with this teal color. I could do laundry all day in here!

BATHROOM: I had to share this fantastic metallic shower inlay with you! Since this bathroom has no natural light, I think the designer did an amazing job adding some fun and functionality through the use of metallics!

BONUS ROOM: You’ll notice on the floor plan, there is a large bonus room on the upper level. I am obsessed with how they staged this space for the tour. This table is the first thing you see, and the perfect space for kids to do homework or craft!

BONUS ROOM: Right next to the table I just showed you is this fun seating area. I love adding a space to your home where kids can feel welcome!

BONUS ROOM: This is the most exciting part of the bonus space in my opinion! The room is set up to be a shared bedroom for three siblings. I love that there is enough space for each kid to have their own bed, a hangout area, and a place to get work done. It’s the perfect bedroom!

STAIRWELL: On each level as the stairwell turned there was a window seat. I’m not sure how practical this really is (except maybe for a timeout space?) but I really love it.

BAR: I think I might actually like the basement bar/kitchen more than the upstairs kitchen area! I love the neutral finishes. The designer did a fantastic job of melding together rustic and industrial/modern accents!

REC AREA: A little alcove off the basement bar area provided a comfortable space to gather, chat, and watch the game. I think I like this space so much because it reminds me of an updated version of my husband’s grandpa’s house!

BAR STORAGE: In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a ton of wine storage! I really enjoy how this is able to be seen while still staying protected. Under the storage here there were wine fridges to keep the perfect temperature. (Also, off to the right is another small space that had beer glass storage and beer on tap!

FAMILY ROOM: This is the only photo of the basement living area I took. Because … I’m obsessed with this nail head trimmed couch!

GUEST ROOM: The basement had a guest room (with a beautiful egress window for natural light), and these sweet deer caught my eye right away! I think I need some in my home!

OUTDOOR LIVING: Outside on the veranda you’ll find this beautiful built-in grill space. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an outdoor kitchen with such class … from the stone, to the counters, to the lighting and tv … I love it all!
What did you think of this home? I overheard a lot of different reviews during the tour of those who loved it and those who weren’t so fond. I am a huge fan!
