Lately, I have been obsessed with the lodge look. Some days I wish I could just transform my whole house into a ski lodge and curl up by the fireplace. But, alas, I don’t live in Aspen and I probably never will; so, I must settle with making mood boards of my would-be space.
Recently I’ve had my eye on the gorgeous faux taxidermy animals on Etsy, and that’s where my inspiration for this mood board came from. I wanted a lodge minus the sea of brown and animals on every wall. I wanted a room that anyone would be comfortable in at feel at home in. You’ll notice that the furniture takes after the traditional lodge look with rustic leather, wood & metal. However, the mood is lightened {and by extension, made more modern} with the addition of cool paint colors and bright chartreuse accents.
