Those of you who have been following from the beginning, know that there’s a wreath in my family room that I change out for each season/holiday. If you’re new here, check out my other wreaths: 4th of July, Summer, and Fall.
This holiday season, I chose to go with the traditional red & gold color scheme. I had a bunch of glittery Target snowflake ornaments left over from last year, so I decided to incorporate them into my wreath design.
What do you guys think? I’m wild for the red & white chevron ribbon I found in the Christmas section at Target! This wreath is super easy & affordable to make…
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Foam Wreath Core
1 Spool of White Tulle
20{ish} Snowflake Ornaments
Hot Glue
Ribbon
First, you’ll need to figure out what length you want your tulle to be. I wrapped a piece around my wreath core and cut it a little longer than the length I wanted {to give room for tying}. Then cut your pieces using that template until the whole spool of tulle is gone. Knot the tulle around the wreath until the foam core is covered. Leave some space open for your ribbon.
Next, take your first set of snowflakes and hot glue them around the wreath. Again, leaving space for your ribbon.
Attach your ribbon where you want it to go, and hot glue your second set of snowflakes over top of the other set and your ribbon. I thought I had red & gold snowflakes, so my original plan was to do a row of red with the gold on top. I couldn’t find my red snowflakes, so I went with the silver and gold. In hindsight though, I would definitely add a little more color to the wreath either with the snowflakes or tulle color.
All you have left to do is hang up your wreath for a great whimsical holiday feel!
This picture doesn’t show it, but I added the left over chevron ribbon to my Christmas tree to tie everything together. It is absolutely gorgeous!
Even though we aren’t experiencing our normal Indiana winter weather, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
