I found this infographic online the other day, and I just had to share it with you guys! You might recall that the husband and I are on a new low-carb diet. So far, I’ve lost 10 lbs and the husband has lost 17! At first it was difficult for me to figure out why the low-carb thing was working. It didn’t mesh with anything I had been told in the past. I mean…using whipping cream in coffee? Cooking steaks in butter? Delicious chocolatey low-carb bars? It just never made sense. After some research, I learned some of the basic science behind the diet, but still didn’t completely get it. I feel this infographic is a great way to explain why low-carb diets are more effective than low-fat ones. It’s very interesting, so check it out!
Hi Sam! Great reminder! I’m also low carbing and I totally agree! Those carbs are just not good for me! I eat lots of fat, but as long as the carbs are not in with them, I’m losing weight! =D
