Last Friday was my little man’s first day of his second year of Preschool! I seriously can’t believe how fast the toddler years have flown by; but, I’m incredibly proud of how easily he has fallen into school. This is one little guy who loves going to school, being with friends, and learning! Proud mama right here.
Anyway…enough blabbing about my adorable scholar. Having grown up with a mother who is a teacher, I always try to do something special for the big events during the school year: first day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, teacher appreciation, and end-of-the-year. This year was a bit of a last-minute rush to get everything together, but I’m pretty happy with how the teacher gifts turned out!
This is a super simple gift idea. All I did was bake up some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and fill two large mason jars with them. Each jar has 12 cookies in it. Then I whipped up some “I’m going to be one smart cookie with you as my teacher!” labels to put on the jars.
That’s it! The teachers loved them, and I enjoyed giving them a little something to start the year off right!
Of course, I can’t leave you without a picture of my precious little guy on his first day! Boy was it like pulling teeth to get a smile out of him (even a fake one like this).
What’s your favorite back-to-school teacher gift idea?
Love the tag you made for the cookie treat! After the first week of school, I always give my daughter’s teachers a sweet treat. This year I made them some sugar cookies decorated like apples. Next time I’m going to attach a tag just like yours! Thanks for sharing such a cute idea!
