Every once in a while my family and I make the four-ish hour trek to Atlanta, GA to visit the IKEA store down there. Normally we drive down early Saturday with enough time for a quick run through before driving right back. But, my husband has a new job that gives him Fridays off now. So … we left after school on Friday and stayed over in a comfortable Buckhead hotel. The best part about this extra time, is that I was FINALLY able to take a Restoration Hardware Gallery tour!
Never in my life have I had such a heavenly shopping experience. You can view all of the Restoration Hardware collections at the Atlanta RH Gallery. It’s six levels of beautiful home decor, furniture, and grand design ideas. I felt like I was in a museum and the most welcoming home in existence all at once! The experience started with valet parking and several incredibly kind employees leading the way. It was recommended that we take the elevator to the top floor and walk our way down for the full experience. So that’s just what we did.
As the elevator opened on the sixth floor, we were greeted by a glass atrium full of modern furniture and minimal accessories. The atrium opened onto the most beautiful terrace: one side boasted views of the upscale Buckhead shopping scene; while the other, a clear view on the downtown Atlanta skyline. Talk about a place I could spend all day. Surrounded by fountains and luxury!
One level down was the RH Baby & Teen floor – which is actually why I wanted to visit this trip. You’ll never find more adorable mini furniture anywhere in the world. What got me the most? Their tiny version of my favorite Kensington tufted sofa. Be still my heart! My boys had a ball testing out the bunk beds, all the kid-sized seating options, and seeing the unique memorabilia scattered throughout the floor.
Floor by floor we found more beautiful things than before. Even pieces that I’ve never loved on paper were expertly displayed in ways that I wouldn’t have thought of. Restoration Hardware has been one of my favorite stores for a long time; the quality and materials alone are enough to make a girl swoon. But now after getting to see a full Gallery with all of their collections in one gorgeous series of spaces, I have a feeling I will be a lifelong fan.
What is your favorite piece or collection from this Restoration Hardware Gallery tour?

Hi, I loved the St. James Bed with Footboard shown almost at the end of the RH gallery of pics. Do you have more pics of that particular bedroom? I am looking for ideas of how to match that gray bed…I see the walls are gray, is that right?
