The weather is getting more and more beautiful every day here in Indiana, so I’ve been rounding up some fun & easy activities for little man and I to take outside. When I saw this post at The Idea Room for Sidewalk Chalk Paint, I knew we had to try it!
Can you believe those beautiful colors? And the best part is, it washes off easily with water!
Amy, at The Idea Room did mention that their green paint made a light stain on the concrete…so I made sure to add very little color to the mix. I took her mixture, divided it in two, and gave both the green & the blue paint only have one drop of food coloring!
Little man couldn’t wait to get started…
It’s so fun to watch toddlers thinking & creating!
He definitely approves of this outdoor activity!
The paint is so beautiful when it dries, I really wouldn’t mind leaving it on the driveway for a while. {Maybe we’ll make some 4th of July themed paint and draw flags on the sidewalk?}
But it does wash off nicely with the hose. I didn’t even have staining!
After about 20 minutes little man was done with the paint…he started dumping the colors into each other and then pouring it onto the concrete. Still, I’d say that’s not bad for a 2-year-old!
I guess he decided to take up jousting instead.
I mean seriously…where do they come up with these things?!
Do you have any simple outdoor activities you enjoy with your family?
