You all know that we’re expecting a fantastic Christmas surprise this Winter! With that being said, we are FINALLY half way through this pregnancy which means that we can find out if this little peanut is a boy or a girl. We have been extremely blessed with some incredible friends who asked for the opportunity to throw us a gender reveal party. Of course, how could I say no? I was dying to see what these talented ladies had in store for us! So I managed to snap a few photos on my phone of the fabulous gender reveal party…
The theme was Tutus & Ties. I love that they really thought outside of the box on this one and didn’t go with the standard blue/pink mustache/lips themes. The colors were beautiful, the theme was unique, and the food was delicious!
Everyone who attended the party got to vote boy/girl. Funny enough, almost everyone was wrong! Do you think it’s a boy or a girl?
I love these burlap-wrapped letters they used…one for “B”oy and one for “G”irl.
As I said before, the food spread was amazing! If you haven’t had a chance to try these Oreo truffles, you are missing out! Seriously I could have eaten them all…but I restrained myself.
We have several friends who are gluten free, so the cupcakes were gluten free lemon and were so delicious. I’m a sucker for anything lemon. The tasty looking cups at the bottom were mini cheesecakes with peanut butter cups underneath! Heaven!
Are these cookies not the most incredible cookies you’ve ever seen? One of my very talented friends made them {she also happens to be the creative mastermind behind Nooches}. The icing had a slight lemon taste to them and each was decorated with a unique design. I may or may not have saved a few for myself to eat over the rest of the week… :-)
And now for the big moment…instead of the usual cupcake or box-of-balloons reveal, we got to do something extra fun and unique! A bunch of balloons were filled with different, gender-revealing colors and attached to a large canvas. We got to use darts to hit the balloons and create a splattered paint masterpiece for the little’s room! It was so much fun, and the balloons were a lot harder to pop than you would think, so everyone at the party got a shot in.
IT’S A BOY! We are so thrilled to be welcoming another little man into our home, and I’ve already started on the nursery!
Of course I can’t leave you without some of my favorite Instagram shots from the party…
I hope you all enjoyed the little peek of this party as much as we enjoyed it!
